The early 79 Series single cab is a true workhorse, built to carry weight across stations, mine sites and outback tracks. Two decades of hard work usually leaves the front coils tired and the rear leaf packs flattened, which hurts both ride quality and load capacity. This EFS kit renews the suspension on 1999 to 2006 79 Series single cabs, lifting them by about 50mm with raised coils up front and raised leaf packs at the rear.
Front castor correction bushes are supplied to keep the steering sharp after the lift, and you choose separate front and rear spring rates so the ute sits level with the gear it actually carries.
Choose Your Shock
Elite
A solid all-round shock for a 79 that works during the week and heads bush on weekends. Elite shocks give a controlled, comfortable ride without the cost of a larger body.
- 35mm bore twin-tube design
- Hardened chrome piston rod
- Valving matched to the raised EFS springs
XTR
Built for heavy off-road work and long touring trips. The bigger shock body carries more oil, keeping damping steady when the tray is loaded and the road is rough.
- 40mm bore twin-tube design
- More oil capacity than the Elite for fade resistance
- Suited to constant heavy loads and harsh terrain
Front Load Options
- 0-50kgs: factory front bar with no added weight.
- 50-100kgs: an alloy bar, light bar or driving lights.
- 100-150kgs: a steel bullbar, or a bar with a winch fitted.
Rear Load Options
- 0-150kgs: a progressive rear spring for an empty or lightly loaded tray.
- 300kgs: a constant load such as a canopy, toolboxes or touring gear.
- 500kgs: heavy constant loads including service bodies, water tanks, drawer systems or a slide-on camper.
