The 78 Series Troop Carrier is often the go-to base for a serious touring rig, with long-range tanks, water, a fridge and a full drawer system in the back. That much weight flattens the factory rear leaves and the nose drops under a heavy bar. This EFS kit lifts the Troopy by about 50mm and restores load support with raised coils up front and raised leaf packs at the rear.
Front castor correction bushes are supplied, along with new rear spring bushes, U-bolts and greasable shackles.
Choose Your Shock
Elite
An all-round shock for a Troop Carrier used for work and regular weekend trips.
- 35mm bore twin-tube design
- Hardened 15mm chrome piston rod
- Valving matched to the raised EFS springs
XTR
The better pick for a fully loaded touring Troopy, with more oil to resist fade on long corrugated roads.
- 40mm bore twin-tube design
- Larger oil capacity than the Elite
- Built for heavy loads and remote travel
Front Load Options
- 0-50kgs: a factory front end with no bar. Rated for up to about 60kg.
- 50-100kgs: an alloy bar, light steel bar or driving lights. Rated for 60-100kg.
- 100-150kgs: a steel bullbar and winch. Rated for 100-130kg.
Rear Load Options
- 0-150kgs: a lightly loaded rear. Rated for up to about 100kg.
- 300kgs: a constant touring load such as drawers, a fridge and water. Rated for a constant 300kg.
- 500kgs: heavy constant loads such as a full camper fit-out, long-range water and a rear wheel carrier. Rated for a constant 400kg.
