- 🛡️ Fitment Advice
The UP and UR generation BT-50 shares its tough ladder-frame underpinnings with the Ranger, but its factory springs were set up for an unladen ute. Once a bullbar, canopy or touring gear goes on, the BT-50 tends to sit nose-down and tail-heavy, and the ride starts to wallow on rough roads. This EFS kit replaces the front struts and coils, rear shocks and rear leaf packs on 4WD BT-50 models from November 2011 to July 2020, adding roughly 40 to 50mm of lift and spring rates matched to how the ute is actually used.
The front struts arrive pre-assembled on new strut plates, so the swap is quicker and there is no need to compress springs. At the rear, raised leaf packs and centre bearing spacers keep the driveline happy at the new height.
Choose Your Shock
Three EFS shock series are available for the BT-50, and every front strut comes pre-assembled.
Elite
An easy-riding all-rounder for a BT-50 used as a daily driver or work ute that heads onto gravel and fire trails now and then.
- 35mm bore twin-tube design
- Hardened chrome piston rod
- Balanced valving for comfort on sealed roads
XTR
A heavier-duty option for owners who tow, tour or carry weight regularly. The bigger body carries more oil, so it resists fade on long corrugated stretches.
- 40mm bore twin-tube design
- Larger oil volume than the Elite
- Firmer control for loaded and towing use
Xtreme
The toughest twin-tube shock EFS makes, aimed at BT-50s that spend serious time off-road or run heavy accessories full time.
- 45mm bore twin-tube design
- Maximum oil capacity for heat control on rough terrain
- Built for sustained heavy-duty off-road work
Front Load Options
- 0-50kgs: the factory bumper, or no extra weight over the front axle.
- 50-100kgs: an alloy or steel bar, driving lights or a light bar. Rated up to about 120kg, so it also suits lighter steel bars.
Rear Load Options
- 0-150kgs: light daily loads with an empty tub or a few tools.
- 300kgs: regular touring weight such as a canopy, fridge, water and camping gear.
- 500kgs: heavy constant loads including drawer systems, service bodies, toolboxes or a slide-on camper.
