The TF-series D-Max earned a loyal following for its reliable 3.0-litre diesel, but its standard suspension was never built for the bullbars, canopies and touring setups most owners end up fitting. Load it up and the rear squats, the front dives under brakes and the ride gets choppy on corrugations. This EFS kit rebuilds the suspension on D-Max utes from July 2012 to mid-2020, adding about 45mm of lift and letting you pick spring rates that suit the weight you carry every day.
Every kit pairs new front struts and coils with matched rear shocks and raised leaf packs. The front struts are supplied pre-assembled on new strut plates, so they bolt straight in without the need for a spring compressor.
Choose Your Shock
Four EFS shock series are offered for this D-Max, from an everyday all-rounder up to a fully adjustable remote-reservoir system.
Elite
The go-to option for a D-Max used for work during the week and the odd camping trip on the weekend. It rides comfortably on sealed roads and handles gravel without fuss.

XTR
Aimed at outback touring. The larger body holds more oil, so the shocks stay consistent on long days of dirt road and corrugations.

Xtreme
Made for a heavily loaded D-Max that regularly tackles rough, corrugated tracks. It is the largest twin-tube shock in the EFS range.

MRP
The top-tier choice for owners who want to fine-tune their ride. MRP uses a monotube remote reservoir design with external adjusters, so the setup can be dialled in for touring comfort or hard off-road driving.

- Up to 36-stage rebound adjustment
- Front supplied as a complete strut and coil assembly
Front Load Options
- 0-50kgs: the original front bumper with no extra accessories. Softest, most comfortable front ride.
- 50-100kgs: an alloy bar, a light steel bar, driving lights or a light bar.
- 100-150kgs: a full steel bullbar, or a bar fitted with a winch, rated for around 120kg of constant front load.
Rear Load Options
- 0-150kgs: everyday driving with an empty tub or light tools.
- 300kgs: a canopy, fridge, water tank and camping gear for regular touring.
- 500kgs: heavy constant loads such as drawer systems, service bodies, toolboxes or a slide-on camper.
