Brown Davis 133 Litre Replacement Long Range Fuel Tank for Holden Colorado RG (2016–2020)
The Brown Davis 133 Litre Replacement Long Range Fuel Tank (HCRGR1) is the definitive fuel range upgrade for Holden Colorado RG owners who demand the confidence to travel further across Australia's most remote and challenging terrain. Engineered and manufactured in Australia by Brown Davis — the country's most trusted name in long range fuel systems since 1978 — this tank directly replaces the factory 76 litre standard tank, delivering a 75% increase in total fuel capacity.
Constructed from high-grade aluminised steel and finished with a tough, corrosion-resistant powder coat, the HCRGR1 is designed to withstand harsh off-road conditions — from rocky trails to endless corrugations. Internal baffles reduce fuel slosh, keeping your vehicle stable and ensuring smooth, consistent fuel delivery even on uneven ground. As a direct replacement for the factory tank, it seamlessly integrates with your existing fuel system, retaining the original filler, pump, and gauge for hassle-free operation.
Available at Brixton 4x4, the HCRGR1 is backed by Brown Davis' 3-year manufacturer's warranty and comes complete with all hardware and parts required for installation — along with comprehensive step-by-step DIY fitting instructions with photographs and diagrams.

Why Choose the Brown Davis Colorado RG Long Range Fuel Tank?
Brown Davis has been manufacturing long range fuel tanks in Australia since 1978. Every tank is laser cut from high-grade aluminised steel, folded for superior structural strength, precision welded using fitting jigs, and pressure tested before leaving the factory. The HCRGR1 is built to the same exacting standards — ready to perform reliably in the harshest conditions your Colorado will ever encounter.
Whether you're towing heavy loads across the Nullarbor, exploring the outback, or simply want fewer stops on long drives, the HCRGR1 gives your Colorado the fuel capacity to match its capability. With massive fuel stops possible further apart, you carry the equivalent of nearly two additional jerry cans of fuel in a purpose-built, pressure-tested tank.

Comprehensive step-by-step DIY fitting instructions with photographs and diagrams are included with every tank. The following is a general overview of the installation process.
1. Unpack the tank and verify all components, hardware, and fitting instructions are present before beginning.
2. Safely raise and support the vehicle to gain full access to the underside and the factory fuel tank mounting location.
3. Drain any remaining fuel from the factory tank and disconnect all fuel lines, sender wiring, filler tube, and breather lines.
4. Remove all factory tank mounting hardware and carefully lower the original 76L tank from the vehicle.
5. Transfer the factory fuel pump sender assembly to the Brown Davis HCRGR1 tank — designed to reuse the vehicle's original equipment.
6. Offer up the Brown Davis tank to the mounting location, align all bracket points with the vehicle's existing fixings, and hand-tighten the mounting hardware.
7. Reconnect all fuel lines using the supplied hardware to secure lines and prevent kinking.
8. Connect the filler tube to the vehicle's standard filler point — no filler neck modifications are required.
9. Torque all mounting fasteners to specification, inspect all connections, and check for leaks before refuelling and driving.
