The VW Amarok NF Tail Assist is a fantastic addition to the tailgate of your new VW Amarok. The strut system dampens/reduces the weight when opening. Utilising factory mounting points makes the installation a breeze as there is no need to remove the tailgate.
Why is there only 1 tailgate strut for this vehicle?
Newer model vehicles, including the Volkswagen Amarok range already have a torsion bar in the tailgate to assist with closing. The additional single HSP Tailgate Strut assist provides the lighter, safe decline of the tailgate.

NOTE: Single Tailgate Assists are used for vehicles which already have a torsion bar, see image below for refernce. If your vehicle does not have this, then you will need the dual strut system.
